Manama: Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), received Yousef Bouzboun, Chairman of the Bahrain Society for Tolerance and Coexistence of Religions (Ta'ayush), who presented a copy of the book *In the Hospitality of the King of Peace*.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the book serves as a national document that highlights His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's role in promoting dialogue and peace. It includes significant events such as visits by prominent religious leaders, His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al Azhar Al Sharif, and His Holiness Pope Francis, Pope of the Vatican, to Bahrain.
Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed reiterated that the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, remains a beacon of tolerance and a cultural hub that reflects pluralism, coexistence, and openness to various religions and cultures.
Yousef Bouzboun praised the SCIA's role in promoting a culture of tolerance, understanding, and coexistence. He noted its efforts to uphold moral values and project Bahrain's image as a society founded on pluralism and mutual respect.
Bouzboun also highlighted the Council's dedication to fostering dialogue and civilisational understanding. He commended the initiatives taken by the Association to enhance communication between religions and cultures and to bolster Bahrain's role in supporting regional and global peace.
