SCIA President Prepares for Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference in Bahrain

Manama: Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), met with Mohamed Abdel Salam, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, to finalize plans for the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the conference will take place in Bahrain on February 19-20 under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The event is set to feature the Grand Imam Professor Ahmad Al Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, along with a prominent group of scholars.

Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed expressed his welcome to the conference participants, which include scholars, religious authorities, and intellectuals. He assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the success of the event. The conference aims to issue recommendations that strengthen Islamic unity and solidarity, especially given the current challenges facing the Muslim world.

Mohamed Abdel Salam highlighted the importance of the conference, noting that it comes at a pivotal time for the Muslim world. He stressed the need to unify efforts, strengthen areas of common ground, and advance intra-Islamic dialogue to develop a shared vision for restoring leadership within the Muslim world. He confirmed that preparations are complete, ensuring an environment of fraternity, understanding, and cooperation.

The Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference, themed "One Nation, One Shared Destiny," is organized by Al Azhar, the SCIA, and the Muslim Council of Elders. It will gather over 400 scholars, leaders, and intellectuals from across the Islamic world to promote unity, engage in discussions on common challenges, and establish a sustainable framework for intra-Islamic dialogue.
