SCIA President and Malaysian Ambassador Discuss Religious Cooperation

Manama: Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), received Shazryl bin Zahiran, Malaysia's Ambassador to Bahrain. The meeting focused on enhancing relations between Bahrain and Malaysia in the realm of religious affairs.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions underscored the strong bilateral ties between the two countries and the commitment of both leaderships to fostering cooperation in various fields for mutual growth and prosperity. Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed highlighted the participation of Malaysian scholars in the upcoming Islamic Dialogue Conference, scheduled to be held in Bahrain on February 19-20 under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also recognized Malaysia's efforts in supporting Islamic causes on an international level.

Ambassador Shazryl expressed Malaysia's support for initiatives aimed at promoting Islamic unity and the values of moderation and tolerance. He acknowledged Bahrain's significant role in hosting events that bring together scholars from across the Islamic world, thus contributing to enhanced religious and cultural cooperation. Furthermore, he conveyed his appreciation to the SCIA and its president for their continuous efforts in bolstering Bahrain-Malaysia relations.
