Manama: The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) has announced that the Moon Sighting Committee will convene on the evening of Friday, 29 Sha'ban 1446 AH, corresponding to 28 February 2025. The committee will receive testimonies on the sighting of the crescent moon marking the beginning of the holy month of Ramadhan from within the Kingdom, as well as reports from the Islamic world confirming the start of the month.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the council has urged individuals with credible testimonies or information regarding the sighting of the crescent moon to promptly contact the Moon Sighting Committee.
