Manama: Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), paid a field visit to Salmaniya Medical Complex to review operations and ensure the continuity of healthcare services for patients and visitors, following a minor fire in one of the medical wards yesterday caused by a patient.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the SCH Chairman expressed appreciation to Civil Defence teams for their significant efforts, swift response, and professionalism in handling the incident. He also commended the rapid response of the qualified and well-trained nursing staff at government hospitals, praising their efficiency and professionalism in safeguarding patients and ensuring their safety.
The SCH Chairman further highlighted the competence of the medical and administrative staff at Salmaniya Medical Complex and their ongoing efforts to guarantee uninterrupted healthcare services. He emphasised the importance of continued cooperation with Civil Defence and relevant authorities to monitor all safety and prevention measures within the complex, including fire and safety systems, as well as enhancing the readiness of emergency and early warning plans, in line with the highest standards of security and safety for patients, staff, and visitors.
