Manama:The Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) has launched an improved product amendment service aimed at enhancing the management and monitoring of approved chemical products in line with government initiatives to refine and re-engineer services.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the new service reduces the processing time from 20 to five working days and has decreased the Service Level Agreement by at least 25%. The service is now fully electronic, with improvements in user interface and experience, simplified procedures, enhanced systems, and standardized service information available across all channels.
Amna Hamad Al Rumaihi, CEO of the SCE, highlighted that the development of digital services and procedure simplification is part of ongoing efforts to boost regulatory and supervisory efficiency. The enhanced service aims to speed up review and approval processes, improve data accuracy and compliance, support efficient inspection and oversight, save time and effort for institutions and investors, and strengthen the business environment.
Al Rumaihi further explained that the service allows establishments to update data on previously approved products, such as altering basic product information, modifying approved annual quantities, or canceling products. The system automatically checks the validity of licenses and registered data, facilitating a simplified review process and immediate electronic approval of amendments, which are then promptly updated in the list of approved products.
She affirmed the Council's commitment to advancing digital solutions and developing its service system to enhance operational efficiency and offer a more convenient experience for beneficiaries.
