SCE Holds “Water Sustainability Forum for Farmers” as Part of National Sustainable Water Campaign.

Manama: The Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) organised the "Water Sustainability Forum for Farmers," attended by over 70 Bahraini farmers and representatives from relevant government bodies. The forum aimed to promote water sustainability practices and engage farmers in Bahrain's goals for sustainable water resource management. According to Bahrain News Agency, Layla Sabeel, Director of Climate Change and Sustainable Development at the SCE, highlighted Bahrain's strategic plans to protect water resources, support the agricultural sector, and expand green spaces in line with the Kingdom's environmental commitments. Sabeel commended Bahraini farmers for their role in water sustainability and natural resource conservation, emphasising the importance of collaboration between the government and agriculture sectors to achieve sustainable development goals. The forum is the second event under the "Sustainable Water Campaign," launched by the Council in collaboration with the United Nations Environment P rogramme and public and private sector partners, under the theme "Every Drop Has a Story." It serves as an awareness platform, bringing together farmers, experts, and researchers to advance national efforts in agriculture and water resource protection.
