Saudi Foreign Minister Engages in Telephone Call with UK Foreign Secretary

Manama: Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, engaged in a telephone conversation with Ed Miliband, the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the call commenced with Prince Faisal bin Farhan extending his congratulations to Ed Miliband on his recent appointment. He expressed his eagerness to collaborate closely to further fortify the relations between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.

In response, Ed Miliband conveyed his gratitude to Prince Faisal bin Farhan and reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing bilateral relations. Miliband reiterated the United Kingdom's support for Saudi Arabia and condemned the assaults by Iran-backed terrorist militias in Yemen targeting Saudi Arabia and other regional countries.

The conversation also encompassed a review of the bilateral relations between the two nations. Both officials discussed the current regional developments and deliberated on strategies to bolster joint efforts aimed at supporting regional and international security and stability.
