Riyadh: Major General Turki Al Maliki, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said that three drones heading to the Shaybah field were intercepted and destroyed in the Empty Quarter.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the interception of the drones was carried out as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard vital installations and ensure the security of the Kingdom. The Shaybah field is a significant oil-producing region, and its protection is a priority for the Saudi defense forces.

The Ministry of Defence emphasized the importance of vigilance and coordination in countering such threats and reiterated its commitment to maintaining the safety and security of its critical infrastructure. The successful interception demonstrates the capabilities and readiness of the Saudi defense systems in addressing aerial threats.
