Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that its air defences intercepted and destroyed a hostile ballistic missile launched towards Prince Sultan Air Base, in addition to intercepting and destroying seven UAVs in the Empty Quarter that were heading to target the Shaybah oil field.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this came in a statement by Major General Turki Al-Maliki, official spokesperson of the Saudi Ministry of Defence, carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), in which he affirmed the full readiness and high vigilance of the armed forces in protecting the Kingdom’s airspace and its economic and national capabilities, and successfully thwarting all ongoing hostile attempts with efficiency.
