Riyadh: Major General Turki Al Malki, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stated that two ballistic missiles were launched toward Riyadh Region, one of which was intercepted, while the other fell in an unpopulated area.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the swift response of the Saudi defence systems managed to intercept one of the missiles, preventing potential harm to populated regions. The second missile, which was not intercepted, ultimately fell in an unpopulated area, causing no reported damage or casualties.
The Ministry of Defence continues to monitor the situation closely and remains on high alert to prevent any future threats. Further investigations are underway to identify the source and intent of the missile launches.
