Riyadh: Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia (GACA), met with Henan Province Vice Governor Sun Shougang to enhance investments between the two countries. The meeting aimed at strengthening economic ties and developing quality investments for pioneering companies, while enabling the private sector to capitalize on available opportunities.
According to Bahrain News Agency, discussions also covered developing Saudi-Chinese air transportation, aligning with the objectives of Vision 2030 and the Saudi Aviation Strategy. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Saudia Cargo and China Henan Aviation Group, which focuses on strategic cooperation within the air-cargo center project between Saudi Arabia and China via the Air Silk Road. The MoU also promotes collaboration in sustainability, cross-border e-commerce, and digital shipping operations through innovations in logistics and shipping services.
On the sidelines of the meeting, GACA held a Saudi-Chinese roundtable to explore cooperation opportunities in logistics zones and air-cargo areas. The event was attended by Chairman of the Board of Directors of China Henan Aviation Group Zhang Mingchao, along with representatives from national carriers and logistics companies.
