Saudi Arabia Imposes SAR20,000 Fine on Visit Visa Holders in Makkah

Riyadh: The Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia confirmed the enforcement of a financial fine of up to SAR20,000 against those holding visit visas of all types who enter, attempt to enter, or remain in Makkah and the holy sites, starting from the first day of Dhu Al Qidah until the end of the fourteenth day of Dhu Al Hijjah.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry explained that the penalties also include the deportation of those who attempt to perform Hajj illegally from among residents and overstayers to their home countries, with a ban on re-entry to the Kingdom for 10 years. It noted that visit visas of all types and names do not entitle holders to perform Hajj.

The Ministry of Interior urged everyone to comply with the instructions regulating this year's Hajj season 1447H and to cooperate with the relevant authorities to ensure the security and safety of pilgrims, stressing that violations expose offenders to legal penalties.
