Saudi Arabia Emphasises Requirement for Official Hajj Permit

Riyadh: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia emphasised the requirement for pilgrims to obtain an official permit to perform Hajj rituals for the year 1447 AH and adhere to approved procedures.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministry stressed that performing Hajj is restricted to those who have obtained an official permit from the concerned authorities, noting that violations will result in legal penalties.

The ministry highlighted that compliance with procedures enhances safety and organisation, supports crowd management, ensures smooth movement within the holy sites, and improves the overall pilgrim experience.

It added that coordination with pilgrims' affairs offices and service providers began following last year's Hajj season through meetings and awareness programmes to reinforce adherence to regulations and improve service quality.
