Riyadh: The Ministries of Education of Saudi Arabia and the People's Republic of China have signed two significant memoranda of cooperation aimed at enhancing educational ties between the two nations. The agreements focus on the exchange of expertise in advanced curricula and the provision of scholarship programs for Saudi students wishing to study in China.
According to Bahrain News Agency, one of the memoranda will facilitate Saudi students' access to top Chinese universities. This agreement is set to enhance scholarship programs and increase opportunities for Saudi students in high-demand fields within the local job market. The China Scholarship Council played a key role in representing the Chinese Ministry of Education during the signing.
The second memorandum was signed with the Chinese Ministry's Centre for Language Education and Cooperation. It is part of a broader initiative to introduce Chinese language education into Saudi public schools starting this academic year. The collaboration will enable experts from both nations to develop a comprehensive Chinese language curriculum, further strengthening educational ties.
