Royal Vision Paves Way for Lasting Peace and Global Cooperation

Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, emphasized the pivotal role of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's vision in establishing peace as a foundational principle for future generations. He highlighted this approach as a cornerstone in supporting international efforts to achieve comprehensive and sustainable resolutions to both regional and global conflicts, aiming for a more secure and stable future for everyone.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Musallam praised the contents of HM the King's speech at the Extraordinary Arab Islamic Summit in Doha. The speech emphasized values such as tolerance, coexistence, and fraternity, along with a commitment to uphold human dignity, freedom, and the right to a decent life. The Speaker expressed pride in the Royal Vision and the policies of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in their support for mediation, diplomacy, and international cooperation to solidify the foundations of just and lasting peace.

The Kingdom of Bahrain's stance on peace, coexistence, and tolerance was reiterated by Al Musallam during the observation of the International Day of Peace, celebrated annually on September 21 with the 2025 theme 'Act Now for a Peaceful World.' He stated that Bahrain consistently advocates for the peaceful resolution of disputes through dialogue and mutual understanding while rejecting violence and discrimination. Furthermore, he highlighted HM the King's call for an international convention to criminalize hate speech and to prevent the misuse of media and digital platforms for inciting fanaticism, extremism, and terrorism.

The Speaker commended Bahrain's global initiatives to promote a culture of peace, which include international awards for coexistence and humanitarian service, as well as relief and development projects spearheaded by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation. Programmes from the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance were also noted as reflections of Bahrain's diplomatic approach, national values, and the principles of the Bahrain Declaration.

Al Musallam also pointed out that Bahraini parliamentary diplomacy continues to strengthen cooperation with regional and international parliaments. This effort includes activating the roles of parliamentary organizations and unions to support peace, sustainable development, international security, and the promotion of human rights across various domains.
