Royal Court Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa submitted the annual report of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) for 2020 to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The minister received SJC Deputy Chairman, Court of Cassation President, Chancellor Abdulla bin Hassan Al Buainain, who submitted the annual report.
He hailed the SJC-led efforts to develop the judiciary, hailing Bahrain’s strides in the judicial sector, by achieving prompt justice, speeding up litigation to guarantee rights in society.
He commended the SJC drive, amid the outbreak of the the pandemic, to deliver digital judicial services and hold remote criminal trials in order to protect people’s the health and safety and to enhance the delivery of justice.
Chancellor Al Buainain paid tribute to HM the King, hailing royal support to the council and judicial system and keenness on the judicial branch and directive to ensure its independence, integrity and impartiality.
Chancellor Al Buainain expressed thanks to the Royal Court Minister for his support to the council, which earned Bahrain the fourth place in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for the efficacy of judicial procedures, the growing rate of court case settlement, as the litigation resolution does not exceed four months on average.
