Amman: Brigadier Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Medical Services (RMS) and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Overseas Treatment, visited the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Centre (KHCC) as part of his official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Brigadier Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa was received by Dr. Asem Mansour, Chief Executive Officer and Director General of the KHCC.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Brigadier Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa highlighted the strong Bahrain-Jordan ties and commended the KHCC as a leading regional institution in medical services and humanitarian care. He also underscored his commitment to expanding cooperation with international healthcare institutions and adopting global best practices in oncology treatment, with a focus on ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
The visit included a presentation outlining the strategic objectives of the KHCC, which aims to invest in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies in line with international standards. The agenda also covered knowledge exchange, joint efforts in clinical and laboratory research on medical technologies, and the training of medical and administrative personnel at the KHCC.
Brigadier Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa was briefed on the latest medical and technical standards in use, as well as the quality of cancer care, including treatment, prevention, and awareness services provided to patients.
