Manama: Marking World Humanitarian Day, Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Secretary General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has established its position internationally as a model in charitable and relief work, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the RHF.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa highlighted that under the guidance of His Majesty, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the follow-up of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the RHF Board of Trustees, the Foundation has implemented humanitarian and relief initiatives in various countries to alleviate the suffering of those affected by disasters and crises, alongside development projects that contribute to community building.
He noted that the RHF also pays great attention to supporting orphans and widows within Bahrain through specialised programmes covering living, educational, and health support to ensure their stability and empowerment, in addition to providing humanitarian aid to citizens in emergency situations.
Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa expressed gratitude to His Majesty the King for the steadfast support of humanitarian work and the vision of the RHF, as well as His Majesty's commitment to advancing the principles of generosity and human solidarity. He reiterated the Foundation's ongoing dedication to its mission within the Kingdom and internationally.
