Manama: The Board of Directors of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) held its third meeting of 2026, chaired by Essam Abdullah Khalaf, Chairman of the Board of Directors. Khalaf affirmed the continuation of efforts to develop the regulatory frameworks governing the real estate sector and build on the achievements made by the Authority. He emphasized the importance of directing efforts towards updating the legislative and regulatory framework to make it more flexible and effective, facilitating transactions for all investors and stakeholders.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ebrahim Mohammed Abul, CEO of RERA, reviewed the directions for the coming phase, which include reviewing and developing regulatory and executive systems and procedures. He explained that the Authority is working to align all its initiatives to enhance integration between regulatory activities and field inspections, and ensure compliance with transparency and governance, supporting sustainable performance and reinforcing the stability of the real estate market in the Kingdom.
