Representatives Council: Commemoration Day Marks Enduring National Legacy of Sacrifice


Manama: On the occasion of Commemoration Day, observed annually on December 17 in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Council of Representatives expressed pride and gratitude for the sacrifices made by the Kingdom’s fallen heroes in defence of Bahrain, its people, and the interests of the Arab and Islamic nations.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the Council commended the care and directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in honouring the sacrifices of servicemen, including the establishment of the Royal Fund for Fallen Servicemen to support the families of fallen personnel from the Bahrain Defence Force, the Ministry of Interior and the National Guard.



The Council emphasised that Commemoration Day represents an enduring national chapter, written through the sacrifices of brave men, and will remain a source of pride in Bahrain’s history and a motivation for dedication, service, and achievement for the nation and its citizens.
