Manama: The Bureau of the Council of Representatives held its meeting, chaired by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives. The gathering focused on strengthening the legislative authority's collaboration with the executive branch to achieve national priorities.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by several key figures, including MP Abdunnabi Salman Ahmed, First Deputy Speaker; MP Ahmed Abdulwahid Qarata, Second Deputy Speaker; MP Mahmoud Mirza Fardan, Chairman of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee; MP Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom, Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee; MP Mamdooh Abbas Al Saleh, Chairman of the Services Committee; MP Mohammed Moosa Al Baloushi, Chairman of the Public Utilities and Environment Committee; MP Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary General of the Council; and Dr. Saleh Ibrahim Al Ghathith, Head of the Council's Legal Advisory Office.
Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam highlighted the legislative authority's commitment to working closely with the executive branch, aiming to fulfill the national priorities outlined in the Royal Speech of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. This endeavor is supported and monitored by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Additionally, the Speaker extended his congratulations to the newly elected heads of parliamentary committees for the fourth session, acknowledging the trust and confidence placed in them by their peers. He also expressed gratitude for the dedication shown by committee chairpersons and their deputies during the previous session of the sixth legislative term.
The meeting's agenda included a review of upcoming sessions and discussions on several parliamentary matters, ensuring that the Council remains focused on effective governance and collaboration.
