Manama: The General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation has launched the "School Bag for Inmates' Children" initiative in collaboration with Public Security Markets. This initiative includes the distribution of school bags and supplies at the beginning of the new academic year.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Colonel Adnan Juma Bahar, Director-General of the General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation, stated that the initiative aims to alleviate the financial burdens on inmates' families. It involves inmates in preparing their children both morally and materially, enhancing their family role and responsibility. He emphasized the importance of the right to education for all, without discrimination, and the reinforcement of human rights and social justice principles.
The Director-General highlighted the Directorate's commitment to providing ongoing care for inmates and their families, addressing their needs consistently. The event, attended by children of both male and female inmates, fostered a family atmosphere filled with affection and togetherness. Participants expressed gratitude for the initiative, acknowledging its role in easing burdens and reflecting humanitarian values of compassion and solidarity.
