Manama: In celebration of World Creativity and Innovation Day on 21 April, the RAK Art Foundation, in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Investment and Technology Promotion Office (UNIDO ITPO) Bahrain, hosted an online workshop aimed at fostering creative thinking and entrepreneurship.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event brought together a varied audience, including creatives, entrepreneurs, professionals, and students. It served as a platform for learning and exchange within the burgeoning creative economy. Industry experts Bashar Daas, Creative Director and Partner at Form6 Communications, and Jehan Saleh, Artist, Curator, and Founder of Art Concept Gallery, shared insights from their professional experiences. They highlighted how creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship intersect within cultural and creative industries.
Participants were guided through practical approaches to creative thinking, learning how to transform ideas and talent into sustainable ventures. The speakers used real-world examples to explain strategies for spotting opportunities, building creative confidence, and tackling challenges in a competitive economic environment. The session emphasized adaptability, innovation, and balancing artistic vision with business skills. It also highlighted how creative entrepreneurship can enhance economic resilience and support inclusive growth, particularly in emerging economies.
The workshop aligns with the Global Center for the Creative Orange Economy’s initiatives and coincides with the International Day of Women in Industry, emphasizing women’s contributions to creativity and industrial development. By providing an interactive online environment, the event encouraged dialogue, knowledge exchange, and equipped participants with tools to turn creative ideas into impactful opportunities.
