Qualifying Rounds of Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prize Contests Conclude Under Royal Patronage


Manama: Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the qualifying rounds of the Ghufran, Bayan, and Ajran contests have concluded as part of the 30th edition of the Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prize. The contests were organized by the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments.



According to Bahrain News Agency, Issa Sami Al Mannai, Undersecretary of Justice and Islamic Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, expressed that the royal patronage has significantly contributed to the ongoing development of the prize and its growing prominence within the community.



Al Mannai highlighted that this year’s edition experienced robust participation across different categories, totaling 5,033 male and female contestants. The participation included 1,841 males and 3,192 females, indicating significant female involvement.



Further details provided by Al Mannai revealed that the Ghufran contest featured 100 participants, with 83 males and 17 females. The Bayan contest, aimed at school students, attracted 189 contestants, consisting of 97 males and 92 females. The Ajran contest, designed for people with mild intellectual disabilities, saw the participation of 82 contestants, including 43 males and 39 females.
