Lusail: His Highness Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, received His Excellency Felix Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), to discuss pressing regional and international developments. The meeting took place at Lusail Palace on Thursday.
According to Bahrain News Agency, President Tshisekedi expressed his country's solidarity with Qatar amidst ongoing Iranian aggression against Qatar and several other nations in the region. He emphasized support for Qatar's measures to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and citizen safety. Amir Shaikh Tamim expressed gratitude for the DRC's supportive stance and praised the strengthening cooperation between the two nations.
Both leaders reiterated their commitment to enhancing security and stability in the region. They also explored opportunities to bolster bilateral cooperation, focusing on economic and investment sectors. Additionally, the Amir and President Tshisekedi conducted a bilateral meeting to exchange views on various issues of mutual interest.
