QAIA Extends Regional Reach with New Direct Flights to Egypt’s Hurghada via Air Cairo

In a strategic move to expand its network and serve a growing passenger demand, Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) heralded the initiation of direct flights to Hurghada, Egypt, through Air Cairo. As of Monday, July 31, 2023, the new route will facilitate two direct flights every Monday and Thursday between Amman, Jordan, and the prominent Egyptian destination. The inclusion of Hurghada as a direct destination emphasizes QAIA's commitment to enhancing accessibility to key regional and global cities. This latest development aligns with the broader objectives of Airport International Group, designed to cater to an increasingly diversified portfolio of leisure and business travelers. Dignitaries and representatives from Airport International Group, Air Cairo, ground handler Menzies AHS, and general sales agent Alpha Tourism, were present to welcome the inaugural flight. Their attendance symbolized a shared vision for more seamless, economical, and expedient travel between Egypt and Jordan. In a statement that resonated with global industry trends, Airport International Group CEO, Nicolas Claude, reflected on the significance of the launch: "We are delighted to have received this inaugural flight from Hurghada, launching a direct connection to yet another city in Egypt through Air Cairo all year round. He said: "This new link not only provides our passengers with more economical and convenient travel options, but also creates additional opportunities for leisure and business travel between Egypt and Jordan." "Our dedication to expanding our partnerships and routes remains unwavering, as we strive to shape a welcoming experience that feels like home for passengers journeying through the Kingdom's prime gateway to the world." The addition of the Amman-Hurghada route underscores the broader regional push to strengthen ties and facilitate increased travel, trade, and tourism. Industry observers see this move as a further affirmation of Jordan's international appeal as a strategic hub, positioning QAIA at the nexus of a burgeoning network of connectivity. The expanded route offers both nations an opportunity to cultivate a mutually beneficial relationship in an ever-connected global marketplace, solidifying Queen Alia International Airport's status as a critical asset in Jordan's aviation landscape.
