Public Security Chief Hosts UK Defence Senior Advisor for Talks on Regional Security

Manama: Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, received Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, the United Kingdom's Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa, along with his delegation. The meeting was also attended by Major General Dr. Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Chief of Public Security praised the longstanding and historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, especially in the realms of security and defence. He highlighted the continuous growth and development of joint cooperation between the two nations.

He further highlighted that the security ties between Bahrain and the UK serve as an exemplary model of strategic partnership, characterized by mutual trust and ongoing coordination. He stressed the importance of enhancing this cooperation to effectively address emerging regional security challenges.

The meeting included discussions on various areas of collaboration and topics of mutual interest. Key issues addressed were enhancing coordination in counter-terrorism efforts, tackling modern security threats, and exchanging expertise and experiences in these domains.
