Public Prosecutor Receives Report on “Reaya” Initiative

Manama: Dr. Ali bin Fadhel Al Buainain, the Public Prosecutor, received Fatima Al Kohji, Chief Prosecutor and adviser to the Public Prosecution's social care initiative "Reaya", along with Fahad Al Rumaihi, Chief Prosecutor and Director of the initiative, who presented the semi-annual report for the period from January to June this year. Al Rumaihi highlighted the initiative's inclusion of 203 new cases, consisting of 67 children, 16 women, 47 men, and 27 families, totaling 73 beneficiaries.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the initiative provided a comprehensive array of specialized services adhering to the highest professional standards. These services included social and counseling support, health and psychological care, educational services, and financial and legal assistance designed to address the beneficiaries' needs and bolster their social stability. The report also offered an in-depth assessment of case monitoring mechanisms, identified the types of support provided, and detailed the involvement of key partners and supporting entities from government and civil society institutions. Additionally, it measured service quality and its direct impact on crime prevention or the mitigation of its root causes.

Dr. Al Buainain praised the efforts of the initiative's team and partners, acknowledging "Reaya" for its significant presence and effective role in protection and restorative justice. He emphasized that the initiative serves as a leading national model, reflecting the Public Prosecution's judicial and social responsibilities in line with national efforts to build a cohesive society that protects rights and safeguards stability.
