Manama: The Primary Healthcare Centres have formalized a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Bahrain Association for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties to bolster collaboration in health and medical services. This agreement outlines the implementation of specialised training programmes and the enhancement of educational and rehabilitation initiatives, aiming to improve service quality and develop professional competencies.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Ejlal Faisal Al Alawi, Chief Executive of the Primary Healthcare Centres, emphasized that the MoU is centered on conducting periodic and preventive medical examinations for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. This partnership is expected to advance healthcare practices and elevate the standard of medical services, ultimately benefiting children’s health.
Dr. Shaikha Rania bint Ali Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Bahrain Association for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties, highlighted that the MoU marks a significant step in aligning efforts between the health and civil sectors. The association’s focus on building strategic partnerships aims to deliver comprehensive services for children and their families. This collaboration is anticipated to enhance early detection, streamline referral processes, and offer more specialised healthcare services tailored to children’s specific needs.
