President Trump to Visit Saudi Arabia in May

Riyadh: Donald Trump, President of the United States, will visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates from May 13-16 in his first foreign visit of his second term. President Trump stated that the visit aims to further develop economic cooperation, with Saudi Arabia having previously announced investments of up to one trillion dollars in the US economy. Investment agreements are anticipated to be signed during the visit, including deals in energy and defense.

According to Bahrain News Agency, analysts noted that the visit reflects closer ties between the Trump administration and the Gulf states, particularly amid global trade tensions. The discussions will also address regional issues, including Saudi mediation in the Ukraine-Russia negotiations.
