Preparatory Committee Convenes Via Videoconference for Bahrain-Morocco Session

Manama: As part of preparations for the sixth session of the Joint High Committee between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Morocco, scheduled to be held in Morocco, the preparatory committee convened via videoconference at senior officials' level. The Bahraini side was chaired by Ambassador Ahmed Mohamed Al Turaifi, Chief of the Arab and African Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the participation of representatives from a number of Bahraini ministries and government entities.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Moroccan side was chaired by Ambassador Khalid bin Al Shaikh, Director of Maghreb, Arab and African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, with representatives from relevant Moroccan ministries and institutions. The meeting reviewed existing areas of cooperation between the two countries and discussed means to further develop and strengthen them in line with shared interests. It also addressed draft agreements and memoranda of understanding proposed for signing during the upcoming Joint High Committee session.
