Polish President Commits to Strengthening Relations with China

Warsaw: Polish President Karol Nawrocki has pledged to bolster exchanges and deepen cooperation with China, hailing the friendship between the two countries during a meeting with visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. According to Bahrain News Agency, Nawrocki asked China's top diplomat to convey his greetings to President Xi Jinping and expressed his appreciation for China's remarkable achievements in its development. Poland was among the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China, and the two nations have maintained a longstanding friendship, Nawrocki noted. The Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, emphasized China's recognition of Poland's role and influence in Europe and the world. He expressed China's readiness to deepen strategic mutual trust and enhance strategic cooperation, aiming to advance the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Wang also expressed hope that Poland will play an active role in helping the European Union devel op an objective and rational understanding of China. Additionally, he conveyed confidence that Poland will continue to uphold the one-China policy and support China's national reunification cause. During his visit, Wang Yi engaged in talks with Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski and co-chaired the fourth meeting of the China-Poland Intergovernmental Committee, where both sides discussed issues of mutual concern.
