Crowds of pilgrims chanting Allaho Akbar performed the symbolic stoning rite, Al-Jamra Al-Kubra, in Mina on the first day of Eid Al-Adha on Sunday.
The devotees, after ending this ritual practice (stoning a statue depicting the evil (or Satan), are entitled to slaughter cattle, shave their heads, circle the Kaaba and walk briskly back and forth several times (saee) between the hillocks of Safa and Marwa.
