Parliamentary Division Executive Committee Evaluates Bahrain’s Hosting Plans for Gulf and Asian Meetings

Manama: The Parliamentary Division Executive Committee, led by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, convened to assess Bahrain's preparedness for hosting forthcoming Gulf and Asian parliamentary gatherings. The meeting also addressed correspondence from parliamentary unions and reviewed reports on recent parliamentary activities.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the committee emphasized the legislature's dedication to bolstering parliamentary diplomacy, supporting Bahrain's foreign policy principles of balance, moderation, openness, and human rights, and enhancing the nation's stature on regional and international platforms. This aligns with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The committee highlighted the priority of cultivating relationships with other parliaments through friendship committees and international participation. Bahrain's proactive involvement in regional and global parliamentary organizations has brought it recognition and significant roles, aiding in the advancement of Gulf, Arab, regional, and international parliamentary initiatives.

Additionally, the committee expressed gratitude for the ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in promoting national foreign policy, reinforcing national principles, and encouraging dialogue and mutual respect. It also highlighted Bahrain's model of tolerance, coexistence, and cultural exchange, stressing the importance of expanding economic and investment partnerships within a modern legislative framework that benefits the Kingdom and its citizens.
