Moscow: Dr. Hani Ali Al Saati, Member of the Shura Council, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has become a leading regional destination for events that bring together East and West, reflecting its role as a hub for dialogue and understanding among cultures and religions. He highlighted the efforts of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence in promoting tolerance and mutual respect, noting that Bahrain’s initiatives led to the UN declaring January 28 as the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Saati emphasised that the Kingdom has adopted a firm humanitarian approach that places culture, coexistence, and dialogue at the core of sustainable development, based on the belief that investing in people is key to progress. He noted that, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain has become a global model for embracing cultural and religious diversity and strengthening civilisational exchange.
He made the remarks during the participation of Bahrain’s parliamentary delegation, headed by MP Ahmed Sabah Al Saloom, Vice-President of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), and including Dr. Al Saati and MP Badr Saleh Al Tamimi, in the meeting of the APA Standing Committee on Social and Cultural Affairs held in Moscow.
