Palestinian Presidency slams occupation decision to “legalize” settlements

The Palestinian presidency on Saturday lambasted Friday’s decision by the occupation’s mini cabinet “legalizing” five settlement outposts in the West Bank.

The mini cabinet has blessed schemes to build thousands of new colonial settlements, as part of a full-scale war waged by the occupation Israeli state on the Palestinian people, their territories and sanctities, said Nabil Abu Rudainah, the official spokesperson of the president, in a statement.

The international community has affirmed that the settlements are illegitimate, Abu Rudainah said, noting that bids by the radical occupation government to prevent the “materialization” of the Palestinian state would end in failure.

The occupation state has defied the will of the international community backed by blind American support with supplies of arms and money and political coverage, he said.

He held the US administration responsible for Israeli decisions that have set the region ablaze, pushing the situation toward full-fledged explosion. He warned that
the region will not witness security and stability unless a Palestinian state has been established.
