Islamabad: Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and Antonio Costa, President of the European Council, discussed during a telephone call the latest developments in the Middle East and means to enhance and develop cooperation between Pakistan and the European Union.
According to Bahrain News Agency, both sides reviewed efforts aimed at mediation and de-escalation in the region and discussed the potential repercussions of the current crisis on the global economy. They expressed deep concern over the continuation of Iranian hostilities, stressing the importance of containing the crisis and prioritising dialogue and diplomatic means to ensure regional security and stability.
