On behalf of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah attends function on partnership between public and private sectors

On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and in implementation of his directives to showcase the investment opportunities from partnership between the public and private sectors, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa attended a function on partnership with the private sector. The event was held in the presence of ministers and more than 200 senior officials from the public and private sectors.

In his inaugural speech, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa expressed most sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for deputizing him to attend the function which is one of the dividends of His Royal Highness’ visit to Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) early in October.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure praised the event as an embodiment of cooperation between the public and private sectors to achieve the goals of the comprehensive development march led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He outlined the goals of the function which seeks to highlight the significance of partnership between both sectors in implementing projects and announce the main financial and economic indicators. He took pride in the successful and effective partnership between the public and private sectors which is having a positive impact on citizens’ life.

Minister of Finance and National Economy Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa affirmed the kingdom’s continuous achievements as part of the economic recovery plan. He stressed the importance of partnership between the public and private sectors, describing it as the catalyst of economic growth. He highlighted success in implementing the economic recovery plan in its five priorities, in partnership with the private sector. He outlined priorities of the plan which aims to create promising job opportunities for citizens, carrying out major development projects, developing promising sectors, and ensuring financial sustainability and economic stability.

The minister pointed out that activating partnership with the private sector is a constant priority while implementing projects and intiatives.

The function included discussion sessions in which ministers, senior officials and representatives from the private sector took part.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and the audience toured the accompanying exhibition which spotlighted future projects supporting partnership between the public and private sectors and their impact on the national economy and on achieving the sustainable development goals, in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
