Manama: Ghada Hameed Habib, Secretary General of the Ombuds Office, received Tatjana Garcevic, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Kingdom of Bahrain. At the outset of the meeting, the Secretary-General affirmed the Ombuds Office Secretariat's keenness to cooperate with partners and stakeholders, including diplomatic missions of countries accredited to the Kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed the procedural framework adopted by the Secretariat General in handling grievances. The Secretary General underscored the institutional independence of its work and its commitment to standards of transparency and integrity in providing independent redress services, contributing to the protection of rights and safeguarding the legal entitlements of members of the public.
The two sides also discussed means to strengthen communication through responding to inquiries that may be received concerning certain grievances of interest to the Serbian Embassy.
