Manama: Ghada Hameed Habib, Secretary-General of the Ombuds Office, received Christophe Farnaud, EU Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, residing in Riyadh, on the conclusion of his term of office. The meeting reviewed cooperation and discussed means to enhance coordination and exchange expertise between the Ombuds Office and the European Union.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Secretary-General reaffirmed the Ombuds Office's commitment to international best practices and strategic partnerships that support transparency, accountability, and the protection of human rights, in line with the Kingdom of Bahrain's comprehensive development process. For his part, Ambassador Farnaud expressed appreciation for the constructive cooperation during his tenure and commended the Ombuds Office's role as an independent oversight body and its contributions to the development of Bahrain's human rights framework.
