Ombudswoman Engages with UNDP Resident Representative in Bahrain

Manama: Ombudswoman Ghada Hameed Habib met with Asmaa Shalabi, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in Bahrain. The meeting focused on strengthening ties and exploring potential collaborations between the Ombuds Office and UNDP.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ombudswoman emphasized the significance of positive cooperation with United Nations bodies and programs. She provided an overview of the Ombuds Office's operations, highlighting its core principles and mechanisms designed to serve the public effectively.

Discussions during the meeting revolved around international cooperation initiatives and engagement with various stakeholders. They also explored avenues for collaboration with diplomatic missions and UN offices. Notably, UNDP has previously collaborated with the Ombuds Office on specialized training workshops.
