Manama: The General Secretariat of the Ombuds Office received a delegation of members of the United States Congress as part of their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The visit is part of a series of periodic engagements aimed at familiarizing the congressional staff with the Ombuds Office's functions and its role in promoting human rights in the Kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, members of the Ombuds Office presented an overview of the organisation's establishment, mandate, public service functions, and its cooperation with relevant entities. The meeting also included a discussion session where questions from the delegation were addressed.
The office emphasized its commitment to constructive engagement with stakeholders interested in its work, outcomes, and various initiatives.
