Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), Ridha bin Juma Al-Saleh, has affirmed the importance of the visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman to Bahrain, to meet His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in strengthening the political, trade and economic relations between the two brotherly countries.
In a statement to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), OCCI Chairman asserted that the visit would provide an opportunity for the two countries to increase the volume of bilateral trade and launch more joint investment projects.
He indicated that the private sector in the two countries should build stronger relations among businessmen, and encourage the establishment of strategic partnerships to increase joint investments and commercial activities.
He added that OCCI, in cooperation with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, seeks to establish investment and trade partnerships that would serve the two countries and raise the rates of trade exchange between them, stressing the need for focusing on the promising economic sectors in Oman and Bahrain, such as tourism, manufacturing industries, fisheries, mining, logistics and other sectors targeted by the future visions of the two countries.
