Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman condemned the military attacks that targeted the territories of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, as well as the incidents involving two Saudi and Qatari commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Oman affirms its solidarity with the countries in all measures that preserve their security, stability, territorial integrity, sovereignty, and interests.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Omani Foreign Ministry issued a statement expressing concern over the escalation of military tension in the region. The statement highlights the potential threat to regional security, maritime safety, and the uninterrupted flow of international trade and energy supplies. Oman reiterated its firm stance against any actions that could compromise the safety of states or pose risks to civilian and commercial vessels.
The Sultanate further urged all involved parties to exercise restraint and cease any form of escalation. Emphasizing the importance of dialogue and diplomatic solutions, Oman called for adherence to existing agreements and understandings that support the consolidation of security and peace in the region.
