Baghdad: Oil prices rose by about three percent at settlement at the close of trading on Monday, recording their highest level in a week.
Brent crude futures increased $2.01, or 2.01 percent, to reach $81.63 per barrel upon settlement.
US West Texas Intermediate crude futures also rose $2.21, or 2.9 percent, to record $77.74.
This price is the highest closing price for the two standard crude oils since the 30th of last month.
