Oil Minister receives British ambassador

Minister of Oil and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, received the UK Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Roderick Drummond.

They discussed ways of boosting cooperation between the two friendly countries and issues of common interest.

Dr. bin Daina praised deep historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UK and mutual keenness on bolstering them in various areas. He noted the diplomatic role in this regard, congratulating the British ambassador on the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Head of the Common Wealth. He wished the UK more growth and prosperity under the reign of HM King Charles III.

Both sides discussed a number of issues in the oil and environment sector and reviewed means of promoting the investment opportunities between both sides. They also spotlighted ways of boosting bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual concern.

Dr. bin Daina underscored keenness of the government of Bahrain to cement cooperation ties with the rest of the world and consolidate strategic partnerships, mainly in the oil and environmental field.

The British ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Oil and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs for the gracious welcome, commending Bahrain’s achievements mainly in the oil and environment field and wishing the kingdom further growth and prosperity.
