Oil Minister Engages with SPE Bahrain Section to Boost National Expertise

Manama: Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, met with Abdulla Al Thawadi, Chairperson of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Bahrain Section. The meeting centered on strengthening Bahrain's oil and gas sector through enhanced technical capabilities and national expertise.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister commended the Society of Petroleum Engineers for its contributions to Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030. He emphasized the organization's role in establishing Bahrain as a regional hub for energy knowledge and innovation. Dr. Bin Daina reiterated the ministry's commitment to backing the society's initiatives, underscoring the critical importance of collaboration between governmental bodies and professional associations to advance the sector and improve technical performance.

The discussions also included a review of the society's achievements over the past year and a preview of key scientific and professional events scheduled for the rest of 2024.
