Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, engaged in discussions with Dr. Rashed Mohammed Al Marri, President of the GCC Emergency Management Centre, to enhance cooperation between Bahrain and other GCC countries in areas such as disaster management, emergency preparedness, and environmental protection.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. bin Daina acknowledged the Centre's role in supporting GCC initiatives to address environmental and natural challenges, as well as in developing national capacities for rapid response and crisis management. He reiterated Bahrain's dedication to strengthening collaboration and sharing knowledge with the Centre to boost regional safety and resilience.
Dr. Al Marri acknowledged Bahrain's prominent role in progressing joint Gulf initiatives on environmental emergency management. He confirmed the Centre's willingness to maintain close coordination with the Kingdom to advance preparedness and ensure effective regional response strategies.
