Manama: Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, received Fayez Hassan Al Arees, Secretary of the Professional Fishermen Society, in the presence of Mohammed Yousif Al Asam, Director General of Marine Resources at the Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE). Dr. Bin Daina highlighted the important role played by the society in supporting national efforts to advance the fishing sector and enhance marine resources in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He underlined the importance of strengthening partnership to ensure the sustainability of natural resources.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting discussed means to enhance cooperation in areas of shared interest to support the fisheries sector and contribute to sustainable development. This includes adopting initiatives that preserve natural resources and ensure the long-term viability of fish stocks.
Al Arees expressed appreciation for the Government of Bahrain's support of the society's initiatives to protect fishermen's rights and preserve maritime heritage through community partnerships that promote the sustainability of marine resources.
